Yes. Couple consultations are offered in person in Victoriaville or by videoconference, at a rate of $140 for 50 minutes.

Individual consultation is suitable when the focus is mainly on your own experience, your relationship with yourself, your sexuality or your relationships in general. Couple consultation is suitable when both partners want to work together on the relationship, communication or intimacy, and both agree to undertake the process. If you're unsure, mention it in your request: we'll discuss it during the initial follow-up, and the format can be adjusted as the process unfolds.

The assessment generally requires about 3 to 4 meetings, depending on the situation. Writing a letter depends on the professional assessment and is not automatic.

Teenagers aged 14 and older can generally consent on their own to health and social services, including sexology consultation. Parental involvement is possible and sometimes desirable, but it is discussed with the young person. The framework that applies to your situation is clarified during the initial follow-up and the first meeting.

The content of meetings with a teenager remains confidential, as it does for any client. The same exceptions provided by law apply, particularly when there is a serious risk to someone's safety or a situation that must be reported. How confidentiality works and what can be shared with parents are explained clearly to the young person, and to parents when they are involved, from the first meeting.

Many group insurance plans cover the services of a sexologist who is a member of the Ordre professionnel des sexologues du Québec (OPSQ), but coverage varies from plan to plan. We invite you to check with your insurer before the first meeting.

Yes. A receipt is issued for each meeting. Depending on the person's situation, sexology services may also qualify as medical expenses for tax purposes.

Yes. I am a service provider recognized by IVAC. Services are offered according to the terms and authorization granted for the file by IVAC; eligibility and reimbursement are determined solely by IVAC.

A cancellation or rescheduling must be requested at least 48 business hours before the meeting. Otherwise, an administrative fee equal to 50% of the meeting rate may apply. For appointments offered through an employee assistance program, a 24-hour notice applies.
